Ballroom divides into Smooth (think Disney princess) and Latin (barely any clothes). In theory, you can have a basic black knee-length dress that could double for both styles, but it would look really awkward on the floor. So, girls wear their Prom dresses for smooth and their “I hope Mom doesn’t see this” short skirts and tight-fitting tops for Latin.
