Am I too old to start dancing?
I am almost 17 years old. When I was 8 or 9, I took ballet for a month and Jazz for 9 months. I have learned some ballroom in my church group, and I’m currently taking a ballroom class at school. I’ve done simple jazz and ballet steps in musicals I’ve been in.
I am just now realizing how crucial dancing is in the theater world, but I don’t know if I’m too old to be good. Are there any beginning dance classes for teenagers, and if so, would it be pointless?

How do I become a dancer?
I am 14 years old and have never had a dance lesson before. I want to do dance because I perform for theatre all the time and in most musicals being able to dance is important. Ballet, Jazz, and Ballroom dance is what interests me most at this time. I don’t have a lot of money to spend on lessons. Also are there any stretches and exercises that I should do before starting dance?
Oh, I have a friend who is in college and has taught dance before who is interested in teaching my friend and me for a cheap price. So before I begin what else should I know???

Do pep squad! And i think you should take your colledge friend’s classes! They sound like fun and doing them with a friend would be even better!
Warm-ups:
start with jumping jacks to get the blood flowing.
Runners lunge (left and right) then face the front (heel on ground)
touching toes, stradle, (*make sure you’re pointing your toes!!*), splits (middle, left and right *keep knees facing the ceiling*) (don’t worry about not getting all the way down, it took me forever to get there, just make sure you practice them everyday and stay stretched)
crunches, jazz split, stretch arms
pretty much any movement you do (no matter how funny it looks ;P) will stretch something, so twist and turn just be sure not to break anything!

Name that actress/movie plz?
I can’t remember the name of the movie or the actress that plays the main character and I’m wanting to look for more of her movies. Anyway the one I saw was where she was an orphan girl she is a french actress but movie was in english and was a musical with a lot of ballet./ballroom dance style. She falls in love with this guy who works a puppet show in a circus. She ends up working with him but she falls for another guy first then falls for the puppet show owner. I know not much to go on but not sure how to describe the movie. I’ve tried google and can’t find it anybody know the actress name or the name of the movie?

The movies name is Lili starring Lesli Caron. She is a fantastic actress. I first saw her in Gigi, which is another musical, also Daddy Long Legs with Fred Astair. I hope you enjoy the movies. She also did an episode of Law and Order SVU last year.
