I just saw Strictly Ballroom and i want to learn to dance ballroom.

Check out your local businesses, there will almost certainly be a dance school and if they do not offer ballroom for adults they will know who does. Great way to exercise and to meet people who you must have at least one interest in common with or you wouldn’t be in the same place doing the same thing.

Are there any good ballroom dance studios in VA?
I have been dancing ballet since i was 3 years old. i have been dancing tap jazz and hip hop since i was 8. I also want to learn how to dance ballroom. thanks

If you can’t find a good ballroom dance studio near where you live you could always look at teaching yourself to dance at home and I’m sure with your current dance experience that wouldn’t be a problem. I am using a DVD system created by Louis van Amstel that I purchased at http://www.learntodanceathome.com to currently teach myself how to ballroom dance.

Have to dance ballroom with someone I dont like. What to do?
Im dancing ballroom-mambo and swing with my mom’s dance instructor. I particularly don’t like him.
But Im doing this as a favor for my mom, its for her birthday celebration. She’s turning 57.
He even put some hiphop into the routine, and its really bad. The ballroom I can probably take, but I seriously can’t do the hiphop.
Its driving me mad
How can I tell him to take out the hiphop?
& How can I actually enjoy dancing with him?

Look over him, it wont last forever, you will be out of the class, away from the creepy man. You will have learned different dances and you mom will be so proud, she may even pinch your cheeks, ha-ha, hope this helps
