Legwarmers short skirt for hip hop dance costume?
What do you think of black pinstriped canvas sneakers, white legwarmers, short mini flare dark denim skirt and white tank for a hip hop dance costume for ladies in their mid 20′s? (specifically leggings appropriateness and color choice). I want to use sneakers vs flats because I want the flexed foot moves to show up well, I’d appreciate thoughts in general and especially from other dancers/choreographers…

The sneakers and leggings are cool but i wouldnt do legwarmers b/c thats more of an 80′s thing.

Ladies, would you step on a guy’s foot with your high heel or stiletto heel if he paid you to?
I’ve always wondered what it would feel like and if it could still really hurt even if I had sneakers on. I am thinking of going to this gentleman’s club/dance club where the girls have a reputation for getting pretty crazy and will do just about anything, so I am probably going to go try it there and have one of the girls there do it and see what it feels like.

I would probably do it. I think you’ll find that it does hurt. I agree that you don’t have to go to a gentleman’s club in order to make this happen. Do you have any female friends who wear heels? Maybe one of them could do it? Just be safe it’s not worth getting injured over. If you really want to know and this is what you are into then ok I respect that but be careful and don’t get hurt.

Need “street fashion” and “Lady Gaga” fashion for dance class?
Just the other day,my jazz dance teacher told the class to come next week in “street fashion”,sneakers,nothing girly,and “Lady Gaga style” clothing. I don’t have a clue what “street fashion” is,nor do I know much about how Lady Gaga dresses(not my type of music). I’m rather confused because I don’t really know what kind of clothing style this is.Anyone have an idea on what I should buy?(preferly from a thrift store because it’s before pay-day) I also usually cover up alot,so hopefuly I won’t have to wear anything sloppy or trampy(and I REFUSE to wear any sort of dress by the way).
Hopefuly this question makes sense because I’m really at a loss on what to do.

For Lady Gaga, just go into a hardware store and close your eyes. Point in any direction and whatever you’re pointing at is what you will wear all over your body.
