I have been dancing for about 8 months and i am thinking about doing my first competition but i am not sure where to get a dress from, i am 14. i have found a few places but i am not sure if they are any good, i don't mind if they are shops or if they are online. thanks xx

- What do women wear under their competition dresses when they dance Latin (ballroom)?
Is there like a special bra or something that you have to purchase? Or is a padding suppose to come infused with your dress? A lot of women have this thin flesh colored strap across their back, I'm assuming that's from their "dance bra?"
A You guesses correctly - the costumes usually have built-in cups. Obviously, the costume needs to be properly made and really fit the person. The thin flesh colored strap that you see is attached to the costume. It is all one piece. Adhesives of all kinds are tricky because they tend to fail when the person sweats. I would not recommend those, especially at places where support is expected.
